Luis Antonio Marín Murillo (born 10 August 1974) is a retired professional Costa Rican footballer and former national captain.

Career

Marín plays as a defender in LD Alajuelense and was selected to the Costa Rican national squad for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and 2006 FIFA World Cup, starting all games played by his national team. He holds the second record for appearances with the Costa Rican national team, having gained 130 caps and scored 5 goals along the way. He played his last game on the national team on November 18, 2009, where they tied 1-1 to Uruguay. The game meant that Costa Rica will not be in World Cup 2010. In Israel his nickname was "Superman" and in Costa Rica "Topoyillo"
